Conversing and Mingling with Hallie Ephron

Where: Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Ave, Milton, MA
When: 09/16 , 9:30AM to Noon

The New England Chapter of Sisters in Crime invites you to come meet and mingle with award-winning, New York Times best-selling suspense author Hallie Ephron.

When Hallie set about to write a new edition of her Edgar-nominated WRITING & SELLING YOUR MYSTERY NOVEL, she realized that much of what she'd learned in the 12 years since the first edition came out (writing 10 novels; reviewing crime fiction monthly for the Boston Globe) had to do with character. In a crime novel, plot is a given, but strong characters are what make a story compelling.

We'll talk about developing a protagonist and a cast of supporting (and opposing) characters. Bring your thoughts about your own characters.

This event is free and open to members and the public. Come meet chapter board members, members, other writers, and special guest, Hallie. Beverages and light food will be served.
